New Everton boss Marco Silva has targeted a £30million move for a Newcastle defender, while Inter Milan have stepped up their interest in a Man Utd star, according to Monday’s papers.


New Everton boss Marco Silva is reportedly ready to take advantage of uncertainty at Newcastle with a £30million bid for Jamaal Lascelles.

The Toon skipper is the main player Silva wants to bolster his defence after his recent arrival at Goodison Park.

Silva sees the 24-year-old as a long-term partner for Michael Keane at the heart of the Toffees’ defence, as Ashley Williams and Phil Jagielka are both getting towards the end of their careers.
