Euro Paper Talk: €60m Inter Milan star gives Man Utd, Man City hope

A Man Utd and Man City target has opened up over his future, while Liverpool are expected to move for a Bayern Munich star after he was cleared for a summer departure, according to Thursday’s European papers.

Inter Milan star Milan Skriniar has refused to rule out a possible summer move amid links to Manchester United and Manchester City.

According to Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport, Inter has no intention of selling the Slovakian defender this summer, and rejected €60m bids from the Manchester duo.

Skriniar played down speculation linking him with a move away from Italy and claimed he was “happy to be at Inter”, but he did reveal a £53million offer was rejected by Inter  from an unnamed club in January.

However, the former Sampdoria star has been questioned on his future again, and stopped short of ruling out a summer San Siro departure.

When asked if he would move to another Serie A club, Skriniar responded: “Probably not. Even if it could happen in the future, if Inter wanted to give in to me. But if it depended on me, I would prefer a transfer to another league.

“I’m happy. If you had told me two years ago, I probably would not have believed it. But Inter is already a big club and if I had to have vertigo, I would have had it when I landed here.

“It’s not a question [where I play will next] I can answer now.”
